Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using ScreenVault ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Service Description

ScreenVault is an AI-powered mobile application that classifies, organizes, and enables search of screenshots from your photo library. The service includes image classification, text extraction (OCR), AI-powered chat search, and smart reminders.

2. Account

• You must sign in with your Apple ID to use the App.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• One account per person. Account sharing or reselling is prohibited.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

• Free tier: 10 classifications (lifetime), 5 AI chat queries.
• Standard: $6.99/month or $49.99/year — 500 classifications/month, 50 chat queries/month.
• Premium: $9.99/month or $79.99/year — 3,000 classifications/month, 300 chat queries/month.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No refunds for partial subscription periods. Refund requests must go through Apple.
• Unused monthly quotas do not roll over to the next month.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal content, CSAM, or content that violates others' rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App or API.
• Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or attack our AI classification system (including prompt injection).
• Use the service for any purpose other than personal screenshot organization.
• Use automated tools to access the API beyond normal app usage.
• Circumvent usage limits, rate limiting, or authentication.

5. AI Classification Disclaimer

Classification results are generated by artificial intelligence and may not always be accurate. ScreenVault does not guarantee the correctness of any classification, OCR text extraction, AI-generated description, or search result. You should not rely solely on AI classifications for important decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

• Your content: You retain all rights to your screenshots and photos. We do not claim ownership of your content.
• Our service: The ScreenVault app, API, AI models, website, and branding are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them.
• Feedback: Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described therein.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• ScreenVault is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for data loss, classification errors, service interruptions, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScreenVault from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.
• You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Data → Delete All Data.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, pandemic, government actions, power failures, internet outages, or third-party service disruptions (including AI API providers).

12. Dispute Resolution

• Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Republic of Finland.
• Informal resolution: Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@screenvault.pics and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
• Jurisdiction: Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
